PART 3 — Interview (Video or Live)

Interview Overview

Duration: 3–5 minutes (video) or 5–10 minutes (live)
Parent/guardian consent is required
Camper may complete either a pre-recorded video or a live video call
The interview helps us get to know your child, assess readiness and motivation, and ensure a safe, positive camp experience.

How do you respond when an adult corrects you?
How do you handle disagreements with peers?
What are you hoping to grow in spiritually this summer?
Is there anything you want us to know to help support you while at camp?

Interview Format Options

Pre-recorded Video Interview

Submit a 1–3 minute video answering the questions above.
Send your video to info@apmyouthcamp.org within 3 days of submitting your application.
This option allows your child to respond at their own pace.
Videos are reviewed only by camp leadership and deleted after selection decisions are made.

Live Video Interview (Zoom or Similar Platform)

Schedule a 5–10 minute live video call with a camp leader.
A parent or guardian must be present.
This allows campers to answer questions in real time and gives our team a chance to clarify questions.
No recording is required unless you give separate consent.
If you select this option, we will contact you within 5 days to schedule an interview.

Alternative Option

If neither a video nor a live interview works, you may request to submit a written response.

Important Notes

Completion of an interview is required for final camper selection.
The interview is designed to ensure your child can participate safely and have a positive, meaningful camp experience.

Acceptance Notice

Acceptance is prayerfully determined based on safety, readiness, and fit. Not all applicants will be selected due to limited capacity.

Next Steps

Accepted campers will receive an email and a link to the official registration.
Campers not selected will be notified with encouragement to reapply in the future.
